Reviews of CDs/albums and gigs of all types and genres of music are listed in alphabetical order, that is, alphabetical by artist's or principal/first named artist's surname, or by band name (ignoring definite or indefinite article), then album title or for gigs, generally event title or venue and date; in the case of "various artists" type compilations, listing is alphabetical by album title (ignoring definite or indefinite article). Classical recordings are listed alphabetically by principal/first named soloist/performer, orchestra/ensemble, conductor, then composer/principal composer and work/principal work or title of album. Dates in parentheses on this page are the date of the actual review/publication on Rainlore's World of Music, not the release date of the album or date of the gig. (Dates are always in international format, i.e., YYYY/MM/DD.)

Each review also presents all factual information available, such as, for albums, release date, label, catalogue number, track list, credits, etc., as well as where possible, information on purchasing e.g. directly from the band/artist where albums are marketed directly. In addition, there are usually links to the artist's/band's own web site and/or profile page on Rainlore's World of Music.
